Glutathione is an antioxidant naturally found in human cells that neutralizes free radicals, boosts the immune system and detoxifies the body. It can also cause skin lightening by converting melanin to a lighter color and deactivating the enzyme tyrosinase, which helps produce the pigment.

At Jenesis Cosmetic Laser Center, we believe everyone deserves beautiful, healthy skin – and we believe IV therapy is just the perfect way to make that happen. Dr. Jane has over 25 years of experience treating patients for everything related to aesthetic procedures including all kinds of skin conditions. Our treatments are made from ingredients already produced in the human body to strengthen every single cell in your body, and we’re committed to designing specialized treatment plans to suit each patient’s unique goals and needs.

Glutathione is an antioxidant that acts as a powerful protector and healing agent, helping to reverse the degenerative process of free radical production and keep skin healthy and light. It’s a peptide that’s produced naturally within the body, composed of the vital amino acids glycine, glutamate, and cysteine.

Glutathione lightens skin by disrupting melanin (pigment) formation and converting eumelanin (brown melanin) to pheomelanin (yellow melanin). We include vitamin C in our drips, which works with glutathione to help your body produce more red blood cell glutathione – and, in turn, the glutathione prolongs the beneficial effects of the vitamin C.

At Jenesis Cosmetic Laser Center, your safety is always our highest priority. That’s why we work only with FDA-regulated compounding pharmacies in California to source our ingredients. We’d recommend being extremely careful with brand name glutathione that comes from outside the USA, as it can often contain mercury – but thankfully, you’ll never have to worry about that with us.

How Does Glutathione Work?

LGlutathione works in a very simple way, yet other skin whitening products can’t compete with the all-natural amino acid compound. Simply put, Glutathione works to clear the body of free radicals and toxins that can lead to serious skin problems like hyperpigmentation and melasma, as well as more common ones like sun spots.

Additional Benefits of Glutathione

While Glutathione is most commonly used by women looking to whiten their skin, it may have a beneficial effect for women that have cystic acne, acne-prone skin or even the occasional breakout.Glutathione won’t help hormone-related acne in most cases since it doesn’t affect hormone levels in the body, but it is an all-natural chain of amino acids that your body needs. There is evidence now that taking Glutathione could actually help improve a weak immune system or make a healthy immune system even stronger.

Which food has Glutathione

Walnuts, avocados, tomatoes and oranges can all help to keep Glutathione levels high in the bloodstream, though they won’t actually work to whiten your skin and, contribute to healthy skin – especially walnuts and avocados, which are also high in essential fatty acids.
